ended up building most of the body low-poly with z-modeller, sculpting the head and hair.
decided I wanted to add accessories so the sheriff would look like he was prepared to do his job
mesh complete. Head was sculpt>retopo workflow, but the rest of the body was low-poly>subdiv bake.
UV time. I went with 5 materials as if the outfits and items could swap out in a game
textured using substance painter. I really love the pen tool for making seams and stitching quick and flexibly
rigging with auto-rig pro and painting skin weights to be bendy on the knees and elbows
