Based on various photos and garden decorations I found online mashed into an original composition.

Since I knew about lawn gnome decorations and fairy houses I started the project by gathering images from various places and compositing them together to get my composition.
Then I needed to know how many different parts I actually needed to make, so I color coded the plan.
I did all the modelling in zbrush this time, starting with the pot.
More parts coming together...
Here I've finished all the modelling of the building blocks. Using Z-remesher, Z-modeller brush, and keeping my polygroups neat made the process a breeze.
close up on the house. Everything is very simple because I know I'm gonna let substance painter do a lot of the heavy lifting on surface detail, and I want clean geometry to get the best UV maps I can to help with that.
I split up the materials into 2, the pot and the house, and made sure all the UV's were aligned with the grid.
Close up on the textured house. Having my UV's aligned really helped get the organic materials like bark come together simply and quickly.
after texturing, all that was left was to assemble the scene. It's like I build my own Lego set!
